Jan is slipping more and more deeply into a comatose like state. She rarely responds to family or visitors , but occasionally becomes lucid enough to say just a few words. She is not choosing to eat or drink anything, and we are administering liquid morphine and atavan at least every hour. The usual abominal drainage produced 650cc and another 650cc was drained out of a recently installed urinary catheter.

Kim Richards said goodbye today, and this morning Veronica and Tyler laid by her side and held her hand. I have a very hard time thinking about any part of our life together without crying. There is something sweet about this sorrow because it is the wonderful memories that bring the tears, but, at times, the hurt is almost too much to bear.....
