Tom flew out this morning after a heartwarming goodbye last night. There's nothing finer than to be in the hills of Carolina. And, tonight, that is where we will find him.

After a few days of feeling pretty good, Jan relapsed last night.
She experienced significant pain in her back and abdomen and some unanticipated nausea and vomiting which we were eventually able to control with an anti-emetic and the oxycodone"breakthrough" medication. We made it a point to be proactive and administered the same medication at 12:30AM. Consequently, today, Jan has been relatively pain free. The real secret to preventing these painful symptoms is attacking them long before they make their presence known and felt.

Jan rested today and attempted to read, but was challenged
by eyelids that begged to close, and often did....
